New House Part 2

As promised here is part 2 with the last pictures of our house!

View from the front door. Garage on the left, bedroom kitty corner, and living room straight ahead.

View of living room from hallway

View from Dining Room

And of course the Picture Wall! We decided to not put holes in the walls unless it was blinds we were hanging up. So any decor I wanted to put up had to be done with command strips or hooks. After dealing with hanging up about 10 things I was sick of putting things on the walls. So one of the only decorations I have up is my picture wall (and of course my Marilyn Monroe picture) and boy am I proud of it :)

New House Part 1

Since the owners of the house we were renting decided they were going to move back, we were on the hunt for a new house. We decided that since all the houses for rent were priced way to high and were in horrible condition, we would buy our own house! :) The pictures are long over due but between unpacking, working, refinishing furniture, and studying the process has been slow to get pictures taken.

Here is the outside of the house!
There is a fenced in back yard now but this pic was taken before it was put up.

Dont mind my mismatched chairs! (working on that)

These are all the photos for now. The living room still needs to be unpacked and electronics need to be hooked up :) So 'New House Part 2' will be posted shortly!

A week filled with Family

This past week has been filled with so much fun!
It started out with my parents and one of my brothers flying to Georgia!

We all smashed in the Jeep so we could show my family around Hinesville, Ft. Stewart, and Savannah!
My mom, my dad, and I were the lucky winners for the backseat!

We walked around the PX and the Commissary, cause what better to do on a military base?

After, we went out to Holbrook Pond. James really wanted to see an alligator!

These signs were all around the pond.

When walking back to the car something in the water caught my eye. I quickly yelled "gator!" Everyone was so excited to see a gator out in the 'wild' even if it was just a baby.

The next day we went down to Savannah. We walked along the river and went into all the little shops, bought way too much candy, and purchased some awesome souvenirs!

After walking River Street for a while we went to lunch at Tubbys!
It was delicious!

And after lunch... it started to rain. Unless you have been in the Savannah rain you dont know that when I say it rained, it really means it poured. We decided to get some tickets to do the tour around Historical Savannah and see all the cool things. So after walking around in the pouring rain for about 30 minutes we finally found where we got on the tour.
We first went in the History of Savannah museum to try and dry off a little bit before getting on the trolley bus. As you can see we are still soaking wet.

After the tour, we headed home to have a fun night playing board games and xbox!

The next day we woke up early to head up to Tennessee! Thats right, we smashed 5 grown adults into our Jeep for a 7 hour drive. We all survived!

We had story time with uncle Dillan

Went to the aquarium and watched the Diving show, the penguins being fed, and went through the shark tunnel!

and ate lunch at Johnny Rockets

It was a busy day in Gatlinburg

The next day was family pictures and my moms birthday!

We had a retro swim day!

And went to the park

We had so much fun being with family and spending time together! The time went way too fast, and now we are stuck back in reality going to work!

Easter!

This year for Easter we wanted to take a trip. So we decided to wait to see when I had work off and then plan from there. I got my work schedule and was set to work everyday through the holiday weekend. So we stayed home and did the traditional Easter things.

Dillan Dying his eggs. Cant you tell he is having so much fun?!

We decided to make Raider a green "dinosaur" egg because he is a beast.
So here he is smelling his egg.

Waiting for the eggs to be done :)

Raider was so curious the whole time.

and rolling it around. He thought it was a ball.

 Dont they look great?!

For Easter Sunday we had a few people from Dillans unit over. I forgot to take pictures but we had fun playing croquet and eating lots of food!

Hope everyone had a Happy Easter!

Fun with the Family

Last Week my brother and his family came down to Georgia to visit us! It was great to have family around, especially one of my little nephews.

I was planning on taking a lot of pictures just so I could blog about the fun things we did, but alas I only took three.

Of the three pictures I took, none of them document anything we actually did, other than ride in the car.

They are all your typical pictures but I find them to be rather cute.

Selfie!

All Smiling :)

This little guy is so much fun. Im glad he came for a visit so he could learn how fun Aunt Hairy and Uncle Dillans house is!

Be Mine!

Valentines Day is definitely not my favorite holiday. Going out to dinner and waiting forever because everything is so busy, having to look for hours to find a gift (cause really, what do you get a guy that doesn't like sweets for Valentines day?), and feeling obligated to make plans because its a "holiday". None of it is my cup of tea :)

So this year, I decided even though it was a dreaded holiday, it was going to be a good day no matter what!

Yes, the day isn't over yet, but its been good so far, so what better time to blog about it.

Sleeping in, playing video games and eating chocolate doughnuts... the morning turned out great!

Then a tradition from my childhood that will live on forever... decorating sugar cookies!
and onto gifts.... the lovely dreaded gifts. Dillan got me a blender and a griddle! We indulged and had a second breakfast that consisted of french toast and orange julius!

We played out side in the dirt and got some lovely 'mustaches'

and took a nice nap.

All while Dillan put together his new BBQ I got him so that we can end a good day with a great night by avoiding all the busy restaurants and having grilled steak at home! Yum!

Hopefully your Valentines was as good as ours!!!
